Rahul is making an impact in the lives of individuals on and off campus, and working to ensure that our campus is representative of our community, and inclusive of every student who enrolls with us. The Newman Civic Fellowship will support his continued growth as a student, as a leader, and as a healthcare practitioner, and increase his already exceptional capacity for tackling the critical social issues of access to higher education, and equitable healthcare.

As part of his personal statement, Bhakta wrote:

After the first year [I was in SABCA], I was voted in as President and have since been making strides to decrease the gap in patient information on healthcare primarily within Chiropractic.

We have also been making strides to increase education among the youth to make sure they know about the profession, along with being able to picture themselves within the profession by showing student doctors of color through different tabling events. We are always looking for help and growth through other non-profits that want to get involved with similar ideas we have set!
