Forte Provides Invited Commentary and Perspective in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery

NWHSU research faculty Mary Forte, PhD, DC was invited by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery to provide a Commentary and Perspective for orthopedic surgeon readers on the manuscript she peer-reviewed that was published in July 2022.

In Dr. Fortes words: “An Invited Commentary is a professional honor, as it signifies that the editors of JBJS recognize a level of expertise and accomplishment in the topic area among invitees and seeks to utilize that expertise to provide insight for surgeon readers as new research emerges.”

In the commentary she offers a necessary evaluation and critique of the methods used to generate national estimates of elective hip and knee arthroplasty in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
