The East West Therapeutic Massage Certificate program combines the therapeutic techniques of Eastern Chinese Medicine (Shiatsu) and Western massage therapy to treat the whole person, equipping you with additional tools for assessing and treating patients as part of an integrative healthcare team.

Through a robust curriculum that includes a strong grounding in anatomy and physiology, and six clinical rotations, you will get the technical training and clinical experience to become confident, knowledgeable practitioners of both Shiatsu and therapeutic massage therapy.

A certificate in relaxation massage is the fastest pathway to a career as a bodyworker in a spa environment working with clients to relieve tension, increase circulation and promote relaxation. This certificate includes a strong grounding in anatomy and physiology.

The Shiatsu Certificate is designed for those with previous massage therapy experience who want to expand their practice to include Eastern medicine, specifically Shiatsu: Japanese bodywork grounded in traditional Chinese medicine.

To enroll in the Shiatsu Certificate program, you must be a massage therapy practitioner who graduated from NWHSU or an accredited massage therapy institution.
