NWHSU Alumni Presenting at Advanced Team Physician Course in Washington, DC

NWHSU Chiropractic Alumni, Dr. Hirad NajafBagy, will present at the Advanced Team Physician Course for the American College of Sports Medicine/American Medical Society of Sports Medicine/American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Northwestern Health Sciences Chiropractic Alumni, Dr. Hirad NajafBagy, will be presenting December 7, 2017 at the Advanced Team Physician Course for the American College of Sports Medicine/American Medical Society of Sports Medicine/American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. The event takes place December 7-10, 2017 at The Gaylord National Resort in Washington, DC.

The Advanced Team Physician Course is a collaborative effort between ACSM, AMSSM, and AOSSM. This live activity provides up-to-date information on the evaluation and treatment of medical illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries occurring in competitive and recreational sports. While the emphasis will be on athletes participating in team sports, many topics will be applicable to competitors in individual sports. Presenters will rely on evidence-based medicine where available.

Dr. NajafBagy’s presentation, I Want to Pitch in with Manual Therapy, will demonstrate how to do the following techniques: Soft Tissue Flush, Soft Tissue Massage, ART, Gastron, Dry Needling, Cupping and Joint Manipulation Techniques. Through 20 years of experience, and operating as the team Chiropractic provider of the Washington Redskins, D.C. United Soccer and Washington Nationals, he has devised a unique method of sports performance rehabilitation called Bio-Orthomechanics® which will be demonstrated throughout his presentation.
