Prepare for a Successful Career in a Hands-On, Supportive Radiologic Technology School Program

NWHSU’s radiologic technology school program can turn your interest in technology, science, and patient care into a career. Our flexible schedule, frontloaded hands-on training, and small community prepare you for success in a high-demand field.

Radiologic technologists, or x-ray techs, play an important role on the healthcare team. You’ll work directly with patients taking imaging such as x-rays, ultrasounds, and MRIs. You can work in many different environments with diverse patient populations.

A degree from NWHSU prepares you with the skills and knowledge required to start your career. You’ll study biology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. In small labs, you’ll practice the skills you need to work with patients. You’ll learn to position patients, protecting patient and yourself from radiation exposure while making them as comfortable as possible.

Once all your coursework is finished, you’ll enter your clinical placement, either here locally or across the country. There, you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice. When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to complete The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam and enter the in-demand field and make a difference for your patients.
