Erchonia Continues to Invest in NWHSU Students
Erchonia Corporation, a world leader in low-level laser therapy, continues to invest in its Erchonia Scholars Program at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU). Established in 2022, the program provides scholarships to support students studying chiropractic at NWHSU.
With Erchonia’s initial commitment in 2022 and additional funding recently approved, the endowment will grow to more than $50,000, benefiting more students each year.
Erchonia, based in Fountain Inn, S.C., was founded in 1996 as a small family business and has grown into a world leader in the field of low-level laser technology for the health care profession. This includes chiropractic, “the medical discipline in which Erchonia started and is ever grateful for,” said David Tucek, Erchonia’s National Sales Director. Erchonia was the first company in the world to get its low-level laser approved by the Federal Drug Administration.
Erchonia and NWHSU share a decades-long strong relationship. “We share some of the same core values, including commitment to quality and innovation,” said Tucek. “We find that students coming out of Northwestern are more open in their thinking and that they are well-prepared to be successful in practice.”
“We are so grateful for Erchonia’s partnership over the years,” said NWHSU President and CEO Dr. Deb Bushway. “And our students have benefitted not only from their scholarship support, but from having a chance to learn about and train on the new technologies they are developing to improve health and well-being.”
