Student Emergency Food Fund

The Student Emergency Food Fund at Northwestern Health Sciences University is designed to assist students who are experiencing food insecurity due to the COVID-19 outbreak by providing financial assistance to pay for food and basic needs.  Students who qualify will receive gift cards to local grocery stores.

In order to qualify for this assistance, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Northwestern Health Sciences University
  • Are having a difficult time paying for food and basic needs

The Student Emergency Food Fund will provide the following assistance:

  • Gift cards for groceries and basic needs in $25 increments

Please note: The funds provided through this program are considered taxable income and students who receive them are responsible for reporting it and paying any taxes due.
