Current Advocacy Efforts

Our current advocacy focuses on an expansion of patient access to high-value health care provided by complementary and integrative providers.

We address a variety of health plan practices and policies, including:

  • Equitable reimbursement for a range of providers who are delivering the same services
  • Eliminating arbitrary limits to the number of allowable visits
  • Enabling providers to work at the top of their scope of practice
  • Expanding networks to ensure patient access to the provider of their choice
  • Ensuring standardized and fair processes for claim review among insurers

COVID-19 Relief for Providers Urgent Call To Action

Call Your Senators Now to Insure Relief for Providers

Senators Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) and John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) have introduced the Immediate Relief for Rural Facilities and Providers Act, new legislation to address the impending crisis facing our health care system as the spread of COVID-19 increasingly strains hospitals and providers across the country. Bennet and Barrasso’s new legislation would extend a lifeline to rural hospitals and all providers and the millions of Americans who depend on them for health care. Among help for rural hospitals, the Bennet/Barrasso legislation will:

  • Provide Stabilization and Relief for all Providers, with an emergency, one-time grant for all providers and ambulatory surgery centers equal to their total payroll from January 1 – April 1, 2019
  • Provide Funding for all Physicians and Providers, by authorizing the Small Business Administration to provide low interest loans to providers and ambulatory surgery centers at a 0.25% interest rate that will not accrue until two years after the COVID-19 pandemic has ended.
