NWHSU Celebrates 80 Years

In 1941, Northwestern College of Chiropractic opened with a vision and three students. Eighty years later, Northwestern Health Sciences University has proudly expanded on that legacy: with 11 fields of study and more than 7,500 graduates. NWHSU serves our community through academic programs, patient-centered clinics throughout the Twin Cities, and our retail center. And we are just getting started.

It is in gratitude that we celebrate 80 years at the center of health care and education. The legacy of our founders, and the innovative, passionate contributions of faculty, students, donors, and partners, has positioned NWHSU to lead the movement toward integrative, natural care.

We will be celebrating NWHSU’s 80th anniversary throughout the year. To kick off the celebration, we are proud to be featured in the Twin Cities Business Journal December ’20/January ’21 Profiles of Success. As part of that feature, we included a message of gratitude to the many people who have contributed to this important milestone:

To our founders, as we protect and build on their legacy
To our students, who have entrusted their futures and dreams to us
To our patients, who lean upon our graduates for healing, health, and well-being
To our faculty, who have devoted their expertise and knowledge to training the next generation of health care professionals
To our staff, who work so hard to create an amazing environment where learning flourishes
To our alumni, who represent our university so well in their professions and communities, and who in turn count on us to maintain the highest standards and reputation
To our donors, whose gifts contribute to our excellence and accessibility
To our business partners, for their collaboration and trusted relationships
And finally, to our community, for embracing and supporting us in our mission.
