Upon graduation in 1993 from Southwest Acupuncture College, I was employed through Hennepin Faculty Associates (HFA), one of the first hospital-based complementary and alternative medicine clinics in the United States. While employed at HFA, I had the unique opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings including the state prison system, drug treatment programs, mental health facilities and a general clinical practice through the hospital system.

Along with an extensive clinical background, I have also treated patients in the hospital setting, including departments such as surgical ICU, pediatric ICU and high risk labor and delivery. These varied clinical opportunities have provided me with much experience working in culturally diverse environments, as well as mandating communication with a myriad of healthcare providers. At Northwestern, I have been able to bring my past clinical and cultural experiences to help develop an acupuncture clinical internship at a local homeless shelter.

As a faculty member, I bring a varied and extensive clinical background, along with a generous and unique manner of imparting knowledge. I maintain the highest standards of quality from my students while encouraging each to develop the skills of the profession in a way that best suits their learning style. While at Northwestern, I have been able to bring my past clinical and cultural experiences to help develop an acupuncture clinical internship at a local homeless shelter.
