Homecoming 2025: Alane Lucht, Ph.D, DC

Alane Lucht Bio 2Alane Lucht, Ph.D., DC, LADC, LPC recognized the connection between physical and mental health early in her career as a bodyworker. Throughout both her occupational and educational pursuits she has worked to integrate and understand how the physical body is affected by the mental body and vice versa. Her path began as a massage therapist in the early 1990’sfollowed by yoga, cranio-sacral therapy, and a doctoral degree in chiropractic in 2001.

Over the course of the next 20 years she began to explore more in the field of psychological trauma and the physical manifestations when that goes unresolved. She has gained extensive training in both shock and complex trauma, helping people to heal from what has gone unhealed.

In 2016 she began the academic pursuit of a master’s degree in mental health followed by a PhD in psychology. During this time, she has taught courses in the field of massage therapy and mental health. Her journey continues with a deeper exploration into the mind-body connection through interpersonal neurobiology as well as complex trauma.
