Chris Hanson, DC
Patients often remark on my friendliness, humility and general positive attitude. I often say, “I take my work seriously, I just don’t take myself seriously.”
I believe that the fundamental job of a chiropractor is to help normalize the function of a patient’s spine and body. My job as a chiropractor is to identify regions of the body that are not performing properly, address those regions and help guide you with home care to continue healing after an appointment.
I aim to work alongside patients as a partner in their health. I approach patient care with transparency and direct communication. I make it my goal for patients to feel very comfortable in my presence. I believe open and clear communication is vital in a doctor patient relationship.
Conditions I Love to Treat
- Headaches/migraines
- Pregnancy related back pain
- Auto injuries
- Worker’s compensation injuries
- low back pain/sciatica
- Golfer’s elbow
- Sprains and strains of the extremities
- Sports injuries
- Whiplash
- Repetitive stress injuries
Techniques & Treatments I Use
- Manual or hands-on adjustments of the spine and extremities
- Lighter force techniques such as drop piece or activator when necessary
- Instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy for patients dealing with a number of different sprains and strains
- Ultrasound when appropriate for more acute and inflamed injuries
On a personal note:
I love music, dancing, sharing time with family/friends and my dog Nala. Over the last few years I have maintained a volunteer relationship with a local nursing home to sing and play guitar for the residents. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my adult life. Healing can take many forms and I certainly find healing in music. Having the opportunity to share that joy of music with others is meaningful beyond words.
