Patricia Whitney, PT, CLT
My practice focuses on pain management for all ages, both long standing pain resistant to treatment and recent injury issues. I have two main approaches to physical therapy that are outside traditional methods. First, is Postural Restoration which looks at posture and physical alignment individually and then customize exercises to correct these. Second, is called Fascial Counterstrain which is an advanced technique focused on release of fascia that is very specific to individual’s symptoms.
I am passionate about treating pain that has been resistant to conventional methods. Once pain is better managed, I help individuals to problem solve on how they can return to the activities that they love by teaching exercises and pain management techniques for self-care.
What patients say about me:
My patients say that I am a caring therapist who listens and sees things that others have missed. I have been told many times that I have “magic fingers” but of course I tell them it is truly science at work with techniques based fully on scientific research.
On a personal note:
My husband and I love to travel and enjoy the beauty of nature. We have 3 grown children and the joy of my life is our 7 grandchildren. I seek to always be learning and growing in areas of physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
