Veterans Health Administration expert to speak on campus this week

Hear an expert perspective on integrating chiropractic services in the VHA.
Northwestern students, staff and faculty are invited to a presentation featuring Veterans Health Administration (VHA) expert Dr. Anthony Lisi. Dr Lisi is Chief of Chiropractic Services at the Connecticut VA facility. Drawing on his experience as the first chiropractor appointed to the medical staff of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, he will speak on “Integration of Chiropractic Services in the Veterans Health Administration.” The presentation will be held in the Northwestern Health Sciences University auditorium this Friday, October 18, at noon. Bring your own lunch.
In 2007 Dr. Lisi was named Director of Chiropractic Services for the Veterans Health Administration, overseeing all national programmatic issues for chiropractic services in the largest integrated healthcare system in the United States. Prior to that he was the first chiropractor appointed to the medical staff of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, where he developed processes for integrating hospital-based clinical services and inter-professional clinical education.
He is currently the Chief of Chiropractic Service at the VA Connecticut facility, and Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Dr. Lisi is a graduate of Fordham University in New York, and Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He has authored or co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and presented over 25 abstracts at scientific conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada.
