My favorite thing about working at Northwestern

Through my career as a soldier in the U.S. Army and having been an athlete my entire life, I know firsthand the benefits our students are able to offer their clients. I also understand the value of quality health care and the importance of chiropractic care, acupuncture and massage therapy.

I get the same thrill explaining why Northwestern is a great fit for prospective students as I did jumping out of a plane when I was a paratrooper.

    Before working at Northwestern

I grew up playing baseball in sandlots, tennis on hard courts with my godfather, and played basketball and volleyball while enlisted in the army. Because of these experiences in both individual and team sports, I understand the importance of hard work, discipline and attitude.

    My life outside Northwestern

Along with my wife and children, we live an active, sports-filled life. I also enjoy reading, singing, my wife's cooking and spending quality time with my kids.

My favorite thing about working at Northwestern

I love hearing students’ stories. Whether I’m speaking with students or reading student application essays, I discover that everyone has a story - a unique, personal reason for pursuing one of our healthcare professions. The common thread? Our students want to help people and I get to assist them in that journey. How cool is that!

Before working at Northwestern

I started in college admissions as a Student Ambassador at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where I earned a B.S. in business. At Northwestern, I’ve served in many roles within the Admissions Office - from front desk, to counseling students, to application processing and transcript review. I believe in being friendly, easy-going, and service-oriented.

My life outside Northwestern

I spent six weeks traveling France, completing a French minor, and would love to return. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and am always ready to listen and offer a helping hand. I also enjoy movies, long walks, and I am very competitive at Pictionary and wiffle ball. My favorite season is fall - the air is crisp and the colors are gorgeous. But winter is great, too - the snow in Minnesota is beautiful!
